In a tiny sun-drenched town, where
the sky was bright and clear,
Two peculiar kittens lived, they
spent their afternoon right near.
One was Sun, with fur of gold,
eyes of blue, like the endless air,
He chased the sparkling motes
of dust, without a single care.
The other, Shadow, gray and
calm, with eyes of olive green,
He dreamt of mysteries and
rest, the quieter of the scene.
Upon an old rooftop they stayed,
each with a different view of light,
But both were waiting for a secret,
to make the day exciting and right.
Then a playful gust of wind
arrived, a sudden flurry in the air,
It dropped an old and worn-out
map, landing exactly there.
It showed a hidden treasure spot,
in the village, lost and deep,
Sun jumped up with pure excitement,
Shadow woke from his deep sleep.
“Come on, Shadow, adventure calls,
the treasure we must find today!”
“Patience, Sun, the riddle is first,
let’s see the path and find the way.”
They left the roof and all their
games, ready to begin the stride,
Following the ancient lines,
letting the map be their guide.
The first stop on the treasure hunt
was the old Windmill, cool and grand.
Surrounded by a gentle breeze,
a magical spot in the land.
Inside there was a riddle carved,
a puzzle for their curious heads.
“Soft as a feather, but can make you
sleep. What is it?” the riddle said.
Sun thought of clouds and fluffy things,
his mind could not make sense of it,
But Shadow, calm and quick and sure,
said: “My pillow, where I sit!”
Correct! The singing birds exclaimed,
the pathway opened wide with speed,
And on they went upon their quest,
planted like an ancient seed.
They rushed to Mrs. Flower’s garden,
a rainbow on the fertile ground.
With happy, buzzing bees at
work, making a cheerful sound.
The colorful life was smiling back,
another clue came quick and fast.
The final hint then pointed to the
"Great Tree of Knowledge," built to last.
They reached the mighty central
tree, in the plaza, vast and old.
The birds were singing history,
ancient tales of strength and gold.
Sun and Shadow looked at each
other, the mission nearly through.
They realized the journey’s purpose,
was not just finding something new.
They searched and searched the bark and
roots, for any hidden sign or trace.
Sun digging with his little paws,
Shadow watching the entire space.
The map then vanished in the air, the
quest was finally done and sealed.
The treasure was not gold or gems,
but a secret they had just revealed.
It was the friendship growing strong,
just like that old and mighty tree,
And all the help they’d given
out, to every person, happily.
Sun and Shadow, heroes of the town,
no longer seeking mere wealth.
They found the greatest treasure:
their friendship and good health.
